Insuring what you store is yours to arrange, as it is with any storage provider. On top of that, every order carries a StoragePal Guarantee: €500 of cover at no extra charge, or a higher amount you choose before you pay. It pays what your own insurer and the facility operator do not, on approved claims, less a 20% deductible.

Transport and handling sit outside it — loading, carrying, stairwells, lifts, and anything before intake or after removal are the transport partner's liability, and you claim against them directly. Poor packing, unsealed containers and ordinary wear are excluded too.
How cover works
What happens before, and if, something goes wrong.
Your own insurance is mandatory, for transport and for storage, and the Guarantee tops it up rather than replacing it. Cover applies in secure storage only. Declare the real replacement value: under-declaring reduces any payment in proportion, and age and condition are taken into account. The Guarantee is void while an account has unpaid invoices. You insure, we photograph
Your own policy covers the articles at replacement value. Every article is labelled and photographed at reception, so its condition on arrival is on record before it is put away.
You choose your cover
Pick the Guarantee amount on the order — €500 costs nothing, and €1,000 to €10,000 are priced in the cart. You can change the amount month by month afterwards, but not backdate it once something has happened.
You claim, with evidence
Tell us within 48 hours of finding the damage, file with your own insurer first, and send the form at storagepal.fr/guarantee/ with proof of policy, ownership and damage.

€500 is where cover starts, not where it stops. For a collection, art or anything you would not replace out of pocket, choose €1,000 to €10,000 in the cart, and change it month by month as what you store changes — but you cannot raise it after something has happened.
Pricing
€5per article, per month, incl. VAT. Larger articles cost more.
Storage is priced by the article and the €500 Guarantee adds nothing to it, so a €41 month with six boxes and a bike carries €500 of cover at no extra charge. Higher amounts are priced in the cart and can be changed month by month while the order runs.
