In a self-storage unit, a third to a half of what you pay is air.

You rent floor area, and the bill includes the height you can’t reach and the aisle to the back wall. In Paris a three-seat sofa needs a €150 unit. Here it is one article, €20 a month.

A unit bills you for volume you cannot use: the height above easy reach, and the walk-around space you need to get at whatever is against the back wall. That is typically 30 to 50% of the volume on your bill.

What we store

The things, not the room they’d fill.

  • One box
  • Three boxes
  • A single sofa
  • A bike for the winter
  • Six chairs
  • A wardrobe
  • Two suitcases
  • A mattress
  • A desk and a chair
  • Ten archive boxes
  • A pallet
  • Half a flat

Odd sizes, fragile pieces and awkward shapes are priced individually. Tell us what it is and we’ll quote it before you commit.

Instead of a unit

What you do instead of renting a room.

A (Free) Collect applies from 6 articles with a 3-month minimum. Below that, a Collect is quoted before you book. Drop-off and pick-up are always free. Worth knowing: the figures here are the published bands. Size bands follow each article’s dimensions, and anything bulky or awkward is quoted individually before you commit, so a large piece is not the €5 in the headline.

1

You list the things

Not a size, not a volume. The actual articles, each on its own line.

2

They reach us

Drop off, ship, or book a (Free) Collect. You never hire a van to fill a room you rented.

3

They come back

One article or all of them. A unit makes that your afternoon; we make it three clicks.

Pricing

€5per article, per month, incl. VAT. Larger articles cost more.

A box is €5 a month, a three-seat sofa €20. Paying per article usually costs less, because you stop paying for the air around them, and your bill falls each time you remove an article.

Questions

When a unit still wins, and when it does not.

When you need to be in the space: daily access, a workshop, a vehicle, or stock you handle every week. A unit is a room you rent. We are a service that holds your things.
Not past a point. Above about 10 m³, roughly 5 m² of floor, a unit’s per-m² rate starts to win. Below that, paying per article costs less because you are not paying for empty air. And a unit still never brings anything to your door.
Send us a paid invoice from your current provider and we will match or beat it with a code.
No. Order any article back on its own, or book a Visit and come and see them.

Referral programme

15% off your monthly storage, for the life of the order.

Every StoragePal customer has a referral code. Book on one and your monthly storage is 15% lower for as long as the order runs, and whoever referred you earns storage credit.

New customers only, one discount code per order, and a referral code works once, on a first order. Referrers may use a discount code and their credits together. Discounts apply to monthly storage fees; transport, Guaranty and administrative fees are charged in full.

Partner code

Your university, residence or employer may already have one.

A partner code is typically 15% off monthly storage for everyone they house or employ. Ask your housing office, residence manager or HR team. If they don’t have one yet, send us their name and we’ll approach them.
