The StoragePal Guarantee

In force since 29 July 2026

Read together with our General Terms and Conditions §1.3.

Your insurance comes first

Insuring what you store is your responsibility, as it is with any storage provider. Your policy must cover your articles at their full replacement value, in transport and in storage.

The StoragePal Guarantee is additional, optional cover on top of that. It is not a substitute for your own insurance, and it pays only what your insurer and the storage facility's operator do not.

What it costs

Choose your cover in the cart when you book:

Cover per orderPrice
€500Included, no extra charge
€1,000 · €2,500 · €5,000 · €10,000Priced in the cart before you pay

You can change the amount month by month while the order runs. You cannot raise it after something has happened.

Every claim carries a 20% deductible

The amount you declare is the basis of any payment. From an approved claim we deduct what your insurer and the facility operator have already paid, apply depreciation for age and condition, then apply the 20% deductible.

Declared value €1,000 · approved claim €800 · paid €640

Under-declaring reduces payment in proportion, so declare the real replacement value.

What it covers

Damage or loss while your articles are in secure storage. Every article is photographed at reception, so its condition on arrival is on record before it is put away.

What it does not cover

  • Transport and handling, in either direction — loading, unloading, carrying, hallways, stairwells, lifts, and anything before your articles enter secure storage or after they leave it. These are the transport partner's liability, and your claim lies directly against them. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt, or tell us within 48 hours.
  • Inadequate packing, unsealed or open containers, and an article's own fragility or defect.
  • Articles declared empty that were not, and anything on the prohibited list (§13).
  • Wear from age and ordinary use.

Cover is also invalid while an account has unpaid invoices, or if you cannot show a current policy and a claim filed with your own insurer.

Making a claim

  1. Tell us within 48 hours of discovering the damage.
  2. File with your own insurer first — we need their response before we can assess.
  3. Send the claim form with: your insurance policy and proof it is current; written evidence of the claim filed with your insurer and their response; proof of ownership and original purchase price; photographs of the damage from several angles; repair estimates where you have them.

We compare your claim against the reception photograph and answer in writing.
